Welcome to the Student Lecture Notes page for The National Math & Science Initiative (NMSI). These NMSI AP Chemistry Lecture Notes can be either downloaded or printed and taken to class. Instructional videos are also posted here! Check back often, I'm editing and creating for the newly redesigned course as fast as I can. Thanks for your patience.
Note this WAS the official reduction potential table of the AP exam. You'll need it for class, but you won't see this on the AP exam. The values you need will be given within the stem of the questions. Don't fret, this could be a time saver for you!
Companion video for Chemical Foundations If you can't access that higher quality video link, try this one at EduTube: Chemical Foundations P.S. Not all the videos (or screencasts if your prefer) will be this long!
Net Ionic Equations--This section applies to the OLD AP Chem exam (prior to the 2014 Exam) Still good stuff, but you don't need to know nearly as much "stuff". If you simply listen to Part I of each category, you should be golden for any net ionic equations scattered about within the "new" exam.
Companion videos for Thermochemistry Part I and Part II If you can't access the higher quality videos, try these Teacher Tube Links: Thermochemistry Part I and Part II.
Compantion videos for Thermodynamics lecture notes. If you can't access the higher quality videos, try these Teacher Tube Links: Thermodynamics Lecture Part I and Part II.
All things Equilibrium! We know this is Question 1 on the Free Response. Once you learn how to solve these problems, practice one each and every week. (Even if a grown up isn't forcing you to!)
Companion videos for the AP General Equilibrium FR Worksheet Essays and Problems Part I and Part II. If you can't access these higher quality videos, try these links at EduTube: Essays and Problems Part I and Part II
Here is a Livescribe file of me dragging you kicking and screaming through this unit in an effort to catch you up from all of that school you've missed due to snow! Get your calculator and let's get started! There will soon be a companion file for AP FR practice problems. Here's another Livescribe file of me explaining a good portion of the free-response worksheet to better prepare you for the AP exam.
